Well, I posted our ford freestyle on Craigslist. It has served us faithfully for 5 years. Instead we are going to pickup something like a Mazda 6 wagon, Passat vr6 4 motion wagon, or and early 2000s Audi A4 v6 wagon.

I’m asking right at the top of blue book range $4,100 for the freestyle. I tried taking good pictures and cleaning it a bit but the ad doesn’t look as good as I was hoping.

Also, found a loose bolt in the 944s shift link near the transmission(success) and more or less stripped the trans fluid fill bolt(fail) so I accomplished half of my wrenching goals.

How about a nice reliable Passat W8 Wagon?

NP.

There’s some humor in replacing something reliable with one of those cars haha.

Thanks for the NP vote. I’m not the most aggressive salesperson or haggler so I try to ask a fair price and stick pretty close to it.

We shall see what ends up as its replacement. I thought the Mazda 6 wagon would be a safe bet. The Audi though, just speaks to me and I’ve heard the b5 v6s aren’t terrible for reliability.

If there were one near me, I’d go look at it but I have a feeling it would be a day I regretted. Haha
